What is Five Two Ten?
The name "Five Two Ten" comes from the inclusion of five provinces and states, built around five interrelated pillars of the initiative, starting with five snow sports. The Initiative will take place in two countries leading up to the 2010 Winter Olympics. Five Two Ten is a unique program built around a core of world class winter sports competitions in Alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, freestyle skiing and ski jumping throughout the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. From this core, Five Two Ten will include community improvement initiatives, educational programs, volunteer training, as well as business and athletic development opportunities.
